Ash Wednesday 2023
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent. The season of Lent is one of the most important times in the church year and helps us remember the 40 days Jesus spent fasting and praying in the desert before he began teaching, preaching and healing in public. This year, Wellspring will be observing Ash Wednesday (Feb 22nd) starting with a Drive-Thru Imposition of the Ashes during the morning and an evening service at 7:00pm in our Sanctuary. Both our evening service and morning drive-thru will offer an imposition of the ashes.
Drive-Thru Imposition of the Ashes
Wellspring will be offering a Drive-Thru Imposition of the Ashes at our church campus (1217 Wolf Road Oswego, IL 60543) from 7:00am to 8:30am. Vehicles will enter the single-lane parking lot entry on the east side of our campus (side closest to Oswego East High School) and follow the road around behind the church building. Signage will be present to help provide instructions.
