What a season this has been. With God’s grace we continue to navigate our way through the maze of a global pandemic, not a journey any of us claim lightly. In response to the increase of COVID-19 cases, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced it is fully adopting updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) masking recommendations. At this time, the CDC recommends that everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas with substantial and high transmission. Our region has recently been assessed as a high risk area and, therefore, Wellspring now falls under these new recommendations.
In light of current CDC and IDHP recommendations, Wellspring will continue to hold worship on-site and online. Starting Sunday, August 22, we ask that all individuals wear masks while gathering in the building. We are happy to provide you with a mask during the service if needed. If you are feeling sick and/or have any COVID-19 symptoms, please join us through our livestream only rather than our in-person service. We appreciate your ongoing support, grace, and prayers as we journey through this time.
Lastly, please keep our leadership and community in your prayers as we make important decisions for the well-being of our congregation. Our Leadership Team continues to monitor data from a variety of sources while prayerfully discerning our path forward. We will communicate further with you as plans or changes emerge; meanwhile, if you have concerns or thoughts to share, you are welcome to contact any member of the Ministry Leadership Team which you may do through our contact form.
Thank you for loving God and your neighbor as we find our way forward together.
