Are we up for the challenge placed before us? June 4th is our next First Sunday donation drive with an additional opportunity to live out our Wellspring vision.
The Missions Team is sponsoring a food & hygiene item drive that will benefit Kendall County Food Pantry. In addition, our Bishop has issued a Missions Challenge, “Fill the Truck”, to collect cleaning and other supplies for migrants in Chicago, to all congregations participating in the upcoming annual conference. Suggested items to donate: Soups, Chili/Stews, Chili/Stew Seasoning (Dry mix), Dried Potatoes (scalloped, mashed, etc.), Rice Side Dish (Boxes or pouches), Mac N Cheese, Canned Sloppy Joe, Baked Beans, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Breakfast cereal, Oatmeal, Rice, Canned/Dried fruit, Pasta sauces, Canned tuna/chicken, Dried/Canned beans, Pancake and baking mixes, Granola bars, Crackers, Juice boxes, Applesauce, Feminine Hygiene Products, Diapers (all sizes), Formula, Baby food, toothpaste, soap, lotions, etc.
Missions Challenge, “Fill the Truck”: Liquid Laundry Detergent – 100 – 105 oz., Liquid Household Cleaner – 54 – 80 oz. (no spray bottles), Liquid Dish Soap – 42 – 64 oz., Shampoo – 12 – 19 oz., Bar Soap, 3-4- oz., Hand towels or other Personal Dignity Kit items, Deodorant 2-3 oz., Individual Toothbrushes, Rulers (12" long with metric) or other School Kit items, 24 Heavy-duty trash bags (33-45 gal.) or other Tornado Kit items, Receiving blankets – 28” x 28” to 32” x 32” or other Birthing Kit items.
