“God helps those who help themselves.”
“God won’t give you more than you can handle.”
“Love the sinner, hate the sin.”
Simple phrases that sound good, even scriptural, but in reality they are ‘half-truths’. We live with half-truths of varying kinds and sizes which have elements of truth attached, but also are misleading or seem to miss the point. And, when shared with our neighbor, can actually cause harm.
