Below is just a small part of our team that make ministry a joy to do together at Wellspring. We believe that every member is a minister and the heart of our community are the volunteers who give their time, talent, and energy to passionately serving others.
Pastor Corey Ashley
Pastor Corey is our church’s founding and Lead Pastor. He has been married to his wife, Catherine, for over 12 years and together they have three daughters. Corey is a writer (blogs, essays, poems), pastor, guitarist, wannabe theologian, gaming connoisseur, lifelong learner and family man. His greatest source of pride lies in the brilliant, beautiful people he calls his friends and family. He is obsessed with books and great food. He sees the world through the lenses of Kingdom, Spirit, Table Theology, race and reconciliation, narrative and family. After completing a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at Northern Seminary, Corey began his call in the United Methodist church. He gets excited about BBQ, Movie nights, family life, Chips and Salsa, kayaking, and Wendell Berry.
Michelle Jenks – Worship & Connections Director
Michelle Jenks is our Director of Worship & Connections. She has been married to her husband, Roger, for 30 years and together they have five children and nine grandchildren. They also have an incredible working relationship and have founded two nonprofit organizations: a church consulting firm and a teen girl empowerment program. Michelle is a published writer, musician, lover of books, life-long athlete, and passionate advocate of women. One of her greatest joys is spending time with the people she loves….and talking, as anyone who knows her will attest. Michelle’s post graduate work in worship leadership studies led her to her roles as worship director and pastor of growth in various churches before coming to Wellspring. She loves beaches, mountains, and spending as much time as possible with her amazing grandchildren.
Debbie Brutlag – Wellspring Admin
Debbie is our Wellspring Administrator. She is married and has a stepson, a daughter, and twin step-grandchildren. Debbie gives of herself in hope to help others in whatever capacity that is needed. She enjoys “sprinkling kindness everywhere, it’s free!”, being “silly” with family and friends, being crafty, and drives to nowhere on beautiful days.
