There is a huge gulf in our culture between our understanding of personal freedom (even in our faith) and the proclamation of Jesus as Lord. What does it mean to claim that? It was such a central understanding of the early Church that it was the earliest and a life and death confession of faith. But what does it mean for us today? How do we as individuals and as a church submit to Jesus as Lord? If we proclaim Jesus as Lord, is there a “therefore” that happens? (If that is the case then…) In this sermon series, we’ll explore that and wrestle with what it will mean for each of us and our community.
