We’re often conditioned to settle for less. We dream of better days or long for greater fulfillment in our lives. Yet, instead of engaging in the abundant life that God offers, many of us wander along unaware of our gifts, our talents, and greater connection to the good things planned for us. We are unaware of the deep abiding joy of being good stewards of our lives and community. Scripture reveals a different story. As followers of Jesus, we are made for more than aimless wandering. Rather, we are God’s ‘masterpiece,’ created anew for the amazing and God-sized plan for our lives. And, in God’s amazing grace, gifts have been poured out upon Church communities to carry out that plan. In our series, Empowered: Discovering our Gifts for others, we will discover a greater sense of who we are in Christ and the power of being the Church.
